Cristian de la Fuente recovering from surgery with Percocet, cupcakes, “trashy” magazines

Cristián de la Fuente is recovering from the surgery he needed after becoming injured on Dancing with the Stars 6. He “had surgery last week to repair the tendon he tore from the bone in his left bicep in the middle of a dance routine,” and that “required that a hole be drilled through his bone,” USA TODAY reports. (Those halfwits who think he’s faking will undoubtedly assume he just had a hole drilled into his arm to keep up the ruse.) He’s still in pain. “I’m taking two Percocets every four hours — and that’s a lot. Sometimes that’s…

Tyra Banks makes $18 million a year; is upset girls see Top Model “as a way to become a star”

Six years after coming up with the idea for America’s Next Top Model in her kitchen, Tyra Banks now “makes an estimated $18 million a year, and her net worth is around $75 million,” according to a New York Times Magazine profile. Part of that is from the 25 percent of Top Model she owns. The profile follows Tyra as she casts girls for the 11th season, and Tyra said that process “was frustrating,” and as a result, “at Bankable [her production company], we’re cooling on reality shows. People confirmed unsourced gossip reports with David Foster, who said, “The story is true. It is true Clay is the father. She was artificially inseminated by Clay. She’s due in August. They have been friends ever since American Idol, when they worked together.” The Insider posted a story at 12:45…

The film follows “Pastor Carroll Pickett, who served 15 years as the death house chaplain to the infamous ‘Walls’ prison unit in Huntsville” and “presided over 95 executions, including the world’s first lethal injection,” according to the network. He “had no reservations…

MTV spins off Making the Band; plans reality version of Juno, Apprentice clone with 50 Cent

In a story about several new MTV series, network executive Tony DiSanto told The Hollywood Reporter that their programming strategy’s “main goal is to always pull the rug out. If something is working great, we don’t want to do it again, we want to do something new. Our viewers expect us to keep evolving, genre-busting and taking chances.” He also told Variety, “Our audience expects us to constantly reinvent and evolve. That’s the challenge at MTV, but also the fun part.” You’d think that’d mean MTV was cancelling The Real World immediately, but no, they’re forging ahead with more of…
